TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 150559898 : The City of Manchester (Princess Road, Fallowfield Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Princess Road (northbound). The alternative routes for traffic will be: (1) Mauldeth Road West, Princess Road, Alexandra Road South, Claremont Road (2) Mauldeth Road West, Wilmslow Road, Great Western Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate pre-surface dressing patching works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 23rd June 2026 to the 25th June 2026 between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00. The order shall come into operation on the 23rd June 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 9th June 2026.
ORDER NO. MCC 149805495: The City of Manchester (Mangle Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Mangle Street from Back Piccadilly to Dale Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Dale Street, Port Street, Hilton Street, Newton Street, Back Piccadilly & Back Piccadilly, China Lane, Dale Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate street lighting fault repair. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 23rd June 2026 to 29th June 2026. The order shall come into operation on 23rd June 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
