What is happening?

SECTION 90A HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, HIGHWAYS (ROAD HUMPS) REGULATIONS 1999
PROPOSED FLAT TOP ROAD HUMPS ON GEORGE STREET, ST JAMES STREET, FAULKNER STREET AND REYNER STREET

NOTICE is hereby given that Manchester City Council proposes to introduce:

Flat Top Road Humps: 75mm high (+/- 15mm), width of carriageway with 6mm minimum kerb up-stand, constructed with shallow approach ramps, with gradients no steeper than 1:10/1:15 on:

George Street - (i) from 2m south west of Princess Street south westerly for 8.5m, (ii) from Princess Street north easterly for 12.5m

St James Street - from Princess Street north easterly for 8.5m

Faulkner Street - from Princess Street north easterly for 10m

Reyner Street - from Princess Street north easterly for 8.5m

A plan showing the location of the Flat Top Road Humps and a statement of reasons can be requested by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or examined in person by appointment at the Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm. Objections to these proposals must be sent in writing to phlegal@manchester. gov.uk or to the address below, stating that your objection relates to the Flat Top Road Humps and the grounds on which you object no later than 30th June 2026.
