What is happening?

WEST MIDLANDS COMBINED AUTHORITY (WEDNESBURY TO BRIERLEY HILL EXTENSION, BIRMINGHAM STREET, FLOOD STREET, CASTLE HILL, ETC) ROAD TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS AND PROVISIONS FOR MIDLAND METRO, INSTRUMENT 2026

Notice is hereby given that WEST MIDLANDS COMBINED AUTHORITY exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 47 of The Midland Metro (Wednesbury to Brierley Hill and
Miscellaneous Amendments) Order 2005 and being satisfied that those parts of this Order made after consultation with the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council and the Chief Constable of the West Midlands Police, hereby make an Instrument, the effects of which will be to implement the following:-

(1) Prohibition of Waiting and Loading:
On sections of Constitution Hill, New Mill Street, Flood Street, Trindle Road, The Minories, King Street and Castle Hill,

The Instrument, with the consent of The Council and after giving 12 weeks’ notice to the Chief Constable of the West Midlands Police, has enacted the above provisions in relation to the those listed within Schedule 9 of The Midland Metro (Wednesbury to Brierley Hill and Miscellaneous Amendments) Order 2005 and will come into operation on 8th day of June 2026.
