What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, MANSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2026 (M26-093)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Mansfield in the District of Mansfield
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. St Peters Way, Mansfield (Southbound only) - From its junction with Bath Lane to is junction with Portland Street
b. Ratcliffe Gate, Mansfield - From its junction with St Peters Way to its junction with Frederick Street
c. Great Central Road - From its junction with Ratcliffe Gate for a distance of 50 meters in a southerly direction
d. Newgate Lane, Mansfield - From its junction with Ratcliffe Gate for a distance of 65 metres in a northerly direction
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (At all times) (Both sides) in the following length of road
a. St Peters Way, Mansfield (Southbound only) - From its junction with Bath Lane to is junction with Portland Street
b. Ratcliffe Gate, Mansfield - From its junction with St Peters Way to its junction with Frederick Street
c. Great Central Road - From its junction with Ratcliffe Gate for a distance of 50 meters in a southerly direction
d. Newgate Lane, Mansfield - From its junction with Ratcliffe Gate for a distance of 65 metres in a northerly direction
3. No persons shall cause any vehicle to turn left from the following length of road
a. Bath Lane, Mansfield - (South to East) onto St Peters Way
4. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
5. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 20:00, Sunday 21st June 2026
Until 06:00, Wednesday 5th July 2026 Nightly.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
St Peters way, - Chesterfield Road South, - Rosemary Street, - Belvedere Street, - Portland Street, - Nottingham Road, Fountaindale Way West, - Adams Way, - Southwell Road West and Vice Versa
The Order will come into force on Sunday 21st June 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to Enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Carriageway resurfacing works
