What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
PARKING CHARGES CHANGES NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport in pursuance of Sections 35C and 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004, intends to implement the parking charges stated in Table 1, in addition to the new penalty charges specified in Table 2. It is intended that the charges will be implemented on 24 June 2026.
A copy of this Notice can also be viewed on the Council’s website at https://www.stockport.gov.uk/proposed-traffic-regulations-in-your-area Any person wishing to comment on these changes should write to the undersigned (or by email to traffic@stockport.gov.uk) quoting reference JO/13803670.
