Devon County Council propose to make the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for Barnstaple: Devon County Council (Barnstaple Railway Station Area, Barnstaple) (Waiting Restrictions) Amendment Order 6352 to introduce; No Waiting At Any Time on specified lengths of Access To Barnstaple Station Car Park & Station Road (Bus Link). Where appropriate there will be the usual exemptions including those in relation to picking up/setting down passengers, loading/unloading goods & disabled persons vehicles; Buses Only At Any Time on a specified length of Station Road (Bus Link) & Loading Only At Any Time on a specified length of Station Road (Bus Link). Devon County Council (Barnstaple Railway Station Area, Barnstaple) (Prohibition of All Vehicles) Order 6353 to amend the Prohibition of All Vehicles on specified lengths of Busway From Station Road To Sticklepath Hill & Station Road (Bus Link). For ease of reference existing restrictions are in the draft order. Under section 90A of Highways Act 1980 & Section 23 of Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 it is proposed to introduce a new Raised Crossing Point 9.4m wide by 8m long & 75mm high incorporating a new PARALLEL CROSSING on Access To Barnstaple Station Car Park, at a point approx. 59m north-west of its junction with Station Road. Objections & other comments specifying the proposal & the grounds on which they are made must be in writing to the address below or via https://devon.cc/tro to arrive by 25 June 2026.
