ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (as Amended) – SECTION 14(1)

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS

(RAILWAY STREET AND KING STREET, NEWTON LE WILLOWS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND PARKING AND SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY ORDER, ORDER 2026)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 13th day of May, 2026, the St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be:

1. That no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to park or wait along the roads listed in schedule 1, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.

2. That the existing one-way traffic order will be suspended on the roads listed in schedule 1, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.

The Order came into force on Thursday 28th May 2026, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works.

The reason for making this Order is to facilitate the regeneration works in Earlestown.
