WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(U5322, INGS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Rail Improvement Works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U5322, Ings, from a point approx. 310 metres south west of its junction with the U5323, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 25 metres.

A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the U5322, U5323, A591 and the U5321.

The Order will come into operation on 20th June 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 5 nights between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 ONLY and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
