PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to the resurfacing of the old footpath (the works), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along approx. 500m of footpath 578037 between grid references 329519, 479205 and 329605, 479004.
A suitable alternative route for pedestrians will be available via footpath 578038 and 578039
The Order will come into operation on 08 June 2026 and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, the order may continue in force for a period of up to six months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
The closure will only be in affect between the hours of 8.00 – 18.00 Monday – Friday.
