(Speed Limits) (City Wide) Order 2025 – Amendment

Order No. 1 2026. Carr Banks View; Deanbeck Rise;

Hillridge Drive & Wharfe Meadow Avenue; 

Otley – 20MPH Speed Limit

Leeds City Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 81, 84, 85, 87, 89, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, made the above Order on 4 June 2026. The the effect of which comes into effect on 8 June 2026 is to introduce A 20MPH Speed Limit on the whole lengths of: Carr Banks View; Deanbeck Rise; Hillridge Drive & Wharfe Meadow Avenue; Otley. A copy of the Order, together with related documentation may be obtained by e-mailing troteam@leeds.gov.uk. If you wish to object to or question the validity of the Order or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not be complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date upon which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Active Travel Corridor – Rodley to Dawsons Corner;

Calverley & Farsley Ward

Leeds City Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, made the above Order on 4 June 2026. The effect of the Order which comes into effect on 8 June 2026 is to introduce: No Parking or Loading at any Time along the length of the shared footway and cycle track that runs along A6120 Ring Road, Farsley; from its junction with A657 Rodley Lane, to a point close to the junction with A647 Bradford Road. A copy of the Order, together with related documentation may be obtained by e-mailing troteam@leeds.gov.uk. If you wish to object to or question the validity of the Order or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not be complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date upon which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Notice Is Hereby Given that Leeds City Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority (under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 36 & 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers) proposes to make the above Order, the effect of which will be to introduce: 1. No Waiting at Any Time on sections of Benson St, Byron St, Duncombe St, Fountain St, Kelso Gardens, Merrion St, Merrion Pl, New York Rd, Regent St, St Albans Pl & St Anne’s St. 2. No Waiting (Mon-Sat between 8.00am & 6.00pm) on sections of: Hope St & Millwright St. 4. No Loading at Any Time on sections of: New York Rd,

Eastgate & Regent St. 5. No Parking or Loading on the Footway/ Cycle Track located on Eastgate & Regent St. 6. A Loading Bay (Max Stay 20 Mins – No Return Within 1 Hr) on Burley Rd, Byron St & Great George St. 7. A Coach Parking Bay (Max Stay 20 Mins – No Return Within 1 Hr on Eastgate. 8. A Police Parking Pl on New York Rd. 9. Resident Permit Parking Bays (Mon-Sat between 8.00am & 8.00pm) on Kelso Gdns. 10. Combined Time Limited Parking Bays (Mon-Sat between 8.00am & 8.00pm) (2 Hrs – No Return Within 2 Hrs – except for Resident Permit Holders) on Duncombe St & Fountain St. 11. Combined Time Limited Parking (Mon-Sat between 8.00am & 6.30pm (30 Mins – No Return within 1 Hr – except for Resident Permit Holders parking bays on Burley Rd. 12. Extension of the Maximum Waiting Period from 1 Hr to 2 Hrs – No Return Within 2 Hrs – except For Resident Permit Holders) in relation to existing Combined Time Limited Parking Pls within the Hyde Park area. 13. Pay-By-Phone Parking Bays on Great George St & Leighton St (Very Central Short Stay Tariff as below) Mon to Fri 8am to 10pm (maximum stay 2 Hrs). Up to 20 mins – £1.80/Up to 40 mins – £2.70/Up to 1 Hr £3.60 – Up to 90 mins £5.20/Up to 2 Hrs – £6.00; 6.00pm to 10.00pm – £3.70. Sat, 8am to 10pm (maximum stay 5 Hrs). Up to 20 mins – £1.40/Up to 40 mins – £2.20; Up to 1 Hr £3.00/Up to 90 mins – £4.40; Up to 2 Hrs – £5.40; Up to 3 Hrs – £6.40; Up to 5 Hrs – £7.40/6.00pm to 10.00pm – £3.70 Sun, 10am to 10pm. Up to 4 Hrs – £2.50; Over 4 Hrs – £5.50; 6.00pm to 10.00pm – £3.70. 14. Pay-By-Phone Parking Bays on Byron St (Leylands & Bowman La Tariff as below) Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm – Up to 2 Hrs £2.10; Up to 4 Hrs £2.80; Up to 6 Hrs – £4.10; Up to 8 Hrs £5.50; Up to 10 Hrs – £5.90. Sundays – Free.
