TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON BOULTON LANE, CHADWICK AVENUE, CHELLASTON ROAD, MERRILL WAY, SINFIN AVENUE, DERBY
WHEN: 26 June 2026 to 29 June 2026 – Phases as below WHERE: Phase 1: 26 June 2026 (07.30) to 27 June 2026 (07.30) Phase 3: 28 June 2026 (07.30) to 29 June 2026 (07.30) Boulton Lane, from its junction with Chellaston Road to 10 metres beyond its junction with Chadwick Avenue. Phase 2: 27 June 2026 (07.30) to 28 June 2026 (07.30) Phase 3: 28 June 2026 (07.30) to 29 June 2026 (07.30) Merrill Way, from its junction with Chellaston Road to its junction with Walton Avenue. Sinfin Avenue, from its junction with Chellaston Road to its junction with Chellaston (Service) Road. Phase 3: 28 June 2026 (07.30) to 29 June 2026 (07.30) Chellaston Road, from its junction with Chellaston (service) Road to 50 metres beyond Sinfin Avenue junction. REASON: Major works carriageway resurfacing
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Boulton Lane – Crayford Road – Brackens Lane – Upper Moor Road – Chellaston Road – Chadwick Avenue – Greatorex Avenue – Chellaston Road – Chellaston Road Diversion Route: Chellaston Road – Derby Road – Swarkstone Road – Bonnie Prince Roundabout – A50 – Toyota Island – Burton Road (A38) – A516 Slip Road – Hospital Island – Uttoxeter New Road – Manor Road – Warwick Avenue – Kenilworth Avenue – Newdigate Street – Osmaston Park Road – Osmaston Road – Chellaston Road – Merrill Way Diversion – Chellaston Road – Osmaston Park Road – Moor Lane – Elm Wood Road – Merrill Way – Sinfin Avenue Diversion – Chellaston Road – Sinfin Avenue – (All the above will use the same diversion in the opposite direction).

TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE ORDER ON LIVERSAGE STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 22 June 2026 to 12 July 2026 WHERE: Suspend all the parking bays from its junction with Castleward Boulevard to its junction with Siddals Road. Close the Footway from opposite Copeland Street for a distance of approximately 70 metres. REASON: Section 278 access development works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A.
TEMPORARY PARKING BAY SUSPENSION ORDER – TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE ORDER ON CANAL
STREET, CASTLEWARD BOULEVARD –
TEMPORARY CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION ORDER CASTLEWARD BOULEVARD, DERBY
WHEN: 22 June 2026 to 12 July 2026 WHERE: Suspend parking bays opposite New street junction to its junction with Castleward Boulevard – for a distance of approximately 100 metres. Close Footway on Canal Street from its junction with Castleward Boulevard for a distance of approximately 70 metres. Suspend the Cycle Lane and close footway on Castelward Boulevard for a distance of approximately 16 metres from its junction with Canal Street. REASON: Section 278 access development works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON SINFIN MOOR LANE, DERBY
WHEN: 26 June 2026 to 17 July 2026 WHERE: Close Sinfin Moor Lane from Infinity Park Way to Sinfin Moor Bridleway No. 2 for a distance of approximately 520 metres. REASON: Construction Development and associated wetland work ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: As shown on site
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE ORDER ON
SINFIN MOOR FOOTPATH NO 5, DERBY
WHEN: 26 June 2026 to 08 August 2026 WHERE: Sinfin Moor Footpath No 5. Close the Footpath from Sinfin Moor Lane in a north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 175 metres. REASON: Construction Development and associated wetland work ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Running parallel to the closed section of the (PROW) Footpath No 5.
TEMPORARY BRIDLEWAY AND FOOTPATH CLOSURE
ORDER ON SINFIN MOOR BRIDLEWAY NO 2, DERBY
WHEN: 26 June 2026 to 07 August 2026 WHERE: Sinfin Moor Bridleway No 2. Close the Bridleway footpath from Sinfin Moor Lane in a north easterly direction to the junction with Infinity Park Way – a distance of approximately 300 metres. REASON: Construction Development and associated wetland work ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sinfin Moor Lane and Infinity Park Way.
