Public Notice - Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - The A23, A203, A3 And A205 GLA Roads (Streatham High Road, South Lambeth Road, Kennington Park Road and Cavendish Road, London Borough of Lambeth) (Temporary Prohibition of Stopping) Order 2026

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above-named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable the installation of electric vehicle charge points works to take place on the A23 Streatham High Road, A203 South Lambeth Road, A3 Kennington Park Road and A205 Cavendish Road.

3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from:
(1) stopping in the Parking and Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay outside of Nos. 82 to 100 Streatham High Road;
(2) stopping in the Parking and Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay outside of Nos. 94 to 105 and Nos. 70 to 93 Victoria Mansions, South Lambeth Road;
(3) stopping in the Parking and Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay outside of Nos. 1 to 22, 23 to 37 and 38 to 552 Victoria Mansions, South Lambeth Road;
(4) stopping in the Parking and Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay outside of No. 214 Kennington Park Road;
(5) stopping in the Parking and Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay outside of Nos. 31 and 33 Cavendish Road.

The Order will be effective at certain times between 8:00 AM on 25th June 2026 and 6:00 PM on 19th December 2026, or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibitions will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:
(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.
