TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.

1. The effect of the Order will be:

a) To close Melbourne Street from St Marys Stadium (south west) entrance to 20m south of the St Marys (south west) entrance.

b) To close Northam Road/St Marys Stadium Footpath from St Marys Stadium (south west) entrance to 20m north of St Marys Stadium (south west) entrance.

2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These are for works on an electricity substation.

3. There is no alternative route.

4. The Order will come into force on 22nd June 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be completed by 26th June 2026.
