NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset propose to make the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

The effect of the order will be to formalise existing lengths of no waiting at any time along various lengths of roads in Bridport.

Temporary Closure of Public Footpath W7/18, Burton Bradstock and W1/25, Bridport

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Tracs Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Public Footpaths W7/18 and W1/25 from grid reference SY 464 902 to grid reference SY 474 897 a distance of approximately 1200 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It came into operation on 03 June 2024 and has been extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 01 June 2029.

This closure is required for health and safety reasons due to severe erosion and danger from cliff falls.

The alternative route will be; Head North/Northeast for approximately 200 metres along Marsh Barn Road until you meet footpath W7/17 at SY 466 904. Follow W7/17 east until you reach SY 478 899. At this point head Southeast along footpath W7/17 through the holiday park until you meet SY 480 896. From this point follow footpath W7/18 West until you reach SY 474 897.

Temporary Trasc Management Order of Yeovil Road, Halstock

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Trasc Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 19 June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 03 July 2026.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface treatment works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on YEOVIL ROAD, HALSTOCK, between Barretts House and Marriotts Stables, a distance of approximately 1700 metres.

[2] To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along YEOVIL ROAD, HALSTOCK, between Barretts House and Marriotts Stables, a distance of approximately 1700 metres.

[3] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along YEOVIL ROAD, HALSTOCK, between Barretts House and Marriotts Stables, a distance of approximately 1700 metres.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable tracs to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Salway Ash

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Trasc Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along VARIOUS ROADS, SALWAY ASH, PITCHERS, SALWAY ASH in its entirety. These works are programmed to commence from 08 June 2026 until 12 June 2026.

PINEAPPLE LANE, SALWAY ASH between its junction with B3162 and a point approximately 565 metres south east.

These works are programmed to commence from 22 June 2026 until 26 June 2026.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It will come into operation on 08 June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 26 June 2026.

This Order will enable Wessex Internet to carry out fibre cable installation.

An alternative route will be signed using; Ash Lane - C96 - Pymore Lane - B3162
