ON STREET PARKING ORDER 2017 (VARIOUS ROADS IN THE TWIGWORTH GREEN PHASE 1A DEVELOPMENT) (PARISH OF TWIGWORTH) (TEWKESBURY BOROUGH) (VARIATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made a Variation Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will vary the Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (the 2017 Order) by introducing the restrictions detailed in The Schedule below on Various Roads in the Twigworth Green Phase 1a Development, Twigworth, Gloucestershire:

The 2017 Order will be varied by the attachment of plans similar to those used in this consultation and which identify the roads or sides of road to which the prohibitions and restrictions affect.
This Variation shall come into operation on 5th June 2026.
The lengths of roads fall within the Parish of Twigworth in the Tewkesbury Borough within the County of Gloucestershire. The usual exemptions will apply to Statutory Undertakers and Local Authority vehicles carrying out duties in exercise of their statutory powers, and also in the case of emergency services vehicles and disabled person’s vehicles.
A copy of the Variation Order, the new Sealed Plans to be inserted into the Schedule of Plans together with a copy of the Statement of Reasons and 2017 Order may be viewed at The Map Room, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG during its normal working hours or online at http://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/tros. Please quote reference 5227-78.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Variation or any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement to that Act or any Statutory Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Variation may within six weeks of the date on which the Variation is made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

TEMPORARY ROAD AND FOOTWAY CLOSURE U45686 SWILGATE ROAD
(TEWKESBURY TOWN) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U45686, Swilgate Road and footway from its junction with Gander Lane to outside the property known as ‘No. 9 Swilgate Road’ for a distance of approximately 190 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for fibre installation works.
The said road and footway are expected to be closed from 09:30hrs on 24th May 2026 until 15:30hrs on 25th June 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the closures and restrictions is for carriageway resurfacing works.
There will be no stopping or waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, on a rolling programme commencing 25th June 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect.
This Order can permit the closure and restriction of the road in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 2nd July 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 580028 CYCLEWAY FROM CONEY HILL ROAD TO BLAKE HILL WAY (BARNWOOD WARD) GLOUCESTER CITY
Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 580028 Cycleway from Coney Hill Road to Blake Hill Way from its junction with Coney Hill Road to its junction with Blake Hill Way for a distance of approximately 200 metres.
The reason for the closure is for footway/cycleway resurfacing works.
The cycleway is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 22nd June 2026 until 16:00hrs on 1st July 2026 only or until the works have been completed.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE U40286 GANNAWAY LANE, NEWTOWN (TEWKESBURY PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U40286 Gannaway Lane, Newtown from outside of the property known as Kenard Business Centre to its junction with Northway Lane for a distance of approximately 100 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for the installation of fibre broadband ducting.
The said road is expected to be closed on from 08:00hrs on 24th June 2026 until 17:00hrs on 26th June 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF 500289 DURBRIDGE ROAD
(REDMARLEY D’ABITOT PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the 500289 Durbridge Road from its junction with the ‘Road from Causeway’ to its junction with ‘the Lottery’ for a total distance of approximately 160 metres.
The reason for this closure and restriction is for carriageway patching works.
There will be no waiting, stopping, or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said road is expected to be restricted from 22nd June 2026 until 23rd June 2026 only or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH EMA 12 (MAISEMORE PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council Intend to Make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of public footpath EMA12 in a generally North Easterly direction for approximately 100 metres.
The footpath falls within the Parish of Maisemore within the Tewkesbury Borough in the county of Gloucestershire.
The closure is necessary to protect the public while repair works to the weir are completed.
The Order will come into force 26th June 2026 and it is anticipated that the Public Footpath will close on that day until 16th October 2026 although the Order authorises the closure for up to six months and can remain in force until 25th December 2026 if necessary. If the closure is still required after this date it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.
