What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Durngate Street, Dorchester

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along DURNGATE STREET, DORCHESTER between its junctions with Icen Way and Cannons Court, a distance of approximately 45 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 22 June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 29 June 2026.

This Order will enable Wessex Water Services, safe access to carry out trial holes.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Icen Way - B3150 - Salisbury Street

Temporary Traffic Management Order Of C12, Cerne Abbas

DORSET COUNCIL intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 25 June 2026 and the main in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 02 July 2026.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on C12, CERNE ABBAS, between Buck Hill and a point approximately 5030 metres north.

[2] To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along C12, CERNE ABBAS, between Buck Hill and a point approximately 5030 metres north.

[3] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along C12, CERNE ABBAS, between Buck Hill and a point approximately 5030 metres north.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on NOTTON ROAD, NOTTON between its junction with A356 and Notton Farm, a distance of approximately 220 metres.

[2] To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along NOTTON ROAD, NOTTON between its junction with A356 and Notton Farm, a distance of approximately 220 metres.

[3] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along NOTTON ROAD, NOTTON between its junction with A356 and Notton Farm, a distance of approximately 220 metres.

[3] To impose a temporary road closure on C28, between its junction with Roman Road Dairy Access Road and a point approximately 3415 metres north west.

[4] To impose a parking suspension and clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along C28, between its junction with Roman Road Dairy Access Road and a point approximately 3415 metres north west.

[5] To impose a temporary road closure on GREENFORD LANE, between its junction with C28 and a point approximately 1318 metres north.

[6] To impose a parking suspension and clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along GREENFORD LANE, between its junction with C28 and a point approximately 1318 metres north.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on ROMAN ROAD, WINTERBOURNE ABBAS between its junction with Muckleford Road and its junction with Roman Road Dairy Access Road, a distance of approximately 3400 metres.

[2] To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along ROMAN ROAD, WINTERBOURNE ABBAS between its junction with Muckleford Road and its junction with Roman Road Dairy Access Road, a distance of approximately 3400 metres.

[3] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along ROMAN ROAD, WINTERBOURNE ABBAS between its junction with Muckleford Road and its junction with Roman Road Dairy Access Road, a distance of approximately 3400 metres.
