(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Endway, Great Easton in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 95m south west of its junction with Rebecca Meade for a distance approximately 65m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th June 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGPD5M9Z – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement & cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via The Endway, Dunmow Road, Mill End, Duck Street and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 28th May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Church Street, Newport)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Street, Newport in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 20m north than north east of its junction with Wicken Road for a distance of approximately 15m in a north easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th June 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410311635 – Affinity Water Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water Limited.

An alternative route is available via B1383, B1038, Church Street, Elephant Green and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 28th May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Redgates Lane, Sewards End)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Redgates Lane, Sewards End in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Ashdon Road for a distance of 80m in a south easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th June 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30016797519 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while electrical connection upgrade works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via B1053, Elizabeth Way, Ashdon Road and vice versa (with access only into Redgates Lane).

The Order came into effect on 28th May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
