(Temporary Traffic Management Measures On Bucklersbury And Market Place, Hitchin) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Bucklersbury, Hitchin from its junction with Tilehouse Street north eastwards to its junction with Market Place, a distance of approximately 152m.
An alternative route will be via: Tilehouse Street, Bridge Street, B656 Queen Street, Hermitage Road, Bancroft, High Street and Market Place.
2. that length of Market Place, Hitchin from its junction with Bucklersbury south eastwards to its junction with Sun Street, a distance of approximately 44m.
An alternative route will be via: Bucklersbury, Tilehouse Street, Bridge Street, B656 Queen Street, Hermitage Road, Bancroft, High Street and Market Place.
Additionally, the existing one-way traffic system on Market Place, Hitchin from its junction with Bucklersbury south eastwards to its junction with Sun Street, a distance of approximately 44m will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within this length of road, whilst works are in progress.
Additionally, the existing one-way traffic system on Bucklersbury, Hitchin from its junction with Tilehouse Street north eastwards to its junction with Market Place, a distance of approximately 152m will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within this length of road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 22 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 4 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE ACCESS ROAD LEADING TO ‘Mcdonalds’, HITCHIN) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the access road leading to ‘McDonalds’, Hitchin from its junction with A505 Nightingale Road northwards for a distance of approximately 15m ("the Road").
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because gas works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 20 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mill Lane, St Ippolyts from a point in line with the north eastern boundary of No.11 Mill Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 157m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Mill Lane, B656 London Road, Gosmore Road, Hitchin Road and Mill Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 22 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footway situated on the south side of the A602 Hitchin Road/A1(M) (junction) 8 roundabout, Stevenage from a point 62m south east of its junction with A602 Wymondley Bypass south eastwards for a distance of approximately 71m ("the Footway").
An alternative route will be via: the footway situated on the west and north sides of the A602 Hitchin Road/A1(M) (junction) 8 roundabout and the cycle track/footpath situated on the east side of the A602 Hitchin Road/A1(M) (junction) 8 roundabout.
The Order is needed because bridge inspection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footway.
The Order will come into effect from 8 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footway.

(Temporary Closing Of The Cycle Track/Footpath Situated Between No.1 Earlsmead And No.11 Aubreys, Letchworth Garden City) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles/pedestrians from using the cycle track/footpath situated between No.1 Earlsmead and No.11 Aubreys, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Aubreys north westwards for a distance of approximately 369m ("the Cycle Track/Footpath").
An alternative route will be via: Aubreys, Four Acres, Willian Way, A505 Baldock Road and Letchworth Garden City Public Footpath No.008.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On Various Roads In Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Whomerley Road, Stevenage from its junction with Rockingham Way north westwards to its junction with Denton Road, a distance of approximately 163m.
An alternative route will be via: Rockingham Way and Denton Road.
2. the road situated on the south side of Nos.13-21a Whomerley Road, Stevenage from its junction with Whomerley Road south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. the road situated to the rear of Nos.19-33 Austen Paths, Stevenage from its junction with Siddons Road south eastwards for its entire length.
