Wiltshire - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C262 (Part), Chute; from its northern junction with UC 305301 to its southern junction with UC 305301. B) UC 305301 (Part), Chute; from its junction with C262 for a distance of approximately 45m in a north easterly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out joint bay and trenching works to upgrade existing substation and provide a new connection. Alternative route via Malthouse Lane – Hookwood Lane – Hatchet Hill and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 until 10 July 2026. C) C289 (Part), Winterslow, Pitton and Farley; from its junction with Ben Lane to its junction with Weston Lane to enable Openreach Limited to carry out telecommunication pole replacements and associated works. Alternative route via C289 (unaffected length) – Ben Lane – Church Road – C321 – C332 – C289 (unaffected length) and vice versa. D) St Edmunds Church Street (Part), Salisbury; from its property known as No.04 Griffin Court for a distance of approximately 25m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out water mains repairs and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 01 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: F) C326 (Part), Bowerchalke; from its property known as Hillcrest Cottage to its property known as The Chapel to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage and associated works. Alternative route via C326 (unaffected length) – C12 – C665 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 5 days. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
