(Boars Tye Road, Silver End) (30mph and 40mph) Order 202*
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 84(1)(a) and (2) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order:
1. To Implement: a ‘30mph Speed Limit’ (Currently 40mph)

(Honeysuckle Way, Witham) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Honeysuckle Way, Witham in the District of Braintree from a point approximately 165m south west of its junction with Oxlip Road for distance of approximately 35m in a north westerly direction. The footpath closure is scheduled to commence on 29th June 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGTD5T2R – Openreach Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on the network. The footpath closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Openreach Limited. An alternative route is available via Honeysuckle Way and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 11th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Braintree Bypass – A131, Braintree and Bocking) (Layby Only) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.17) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
- To temporarily close that length of road in the District of Braintree as specified in the Schedule.
- A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
*The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 11th June 2026; exact dates will be specified on https://one.network/ The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and there re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Duck End, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree, from a point with The Causeway to its junction with Howe Street a distance of approximately 225m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th June 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2387788 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on https://one.network/ The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Howe Street, B1057, Claywall Bridge, North Street, B1054, B1055, B1053, B1057, The Causeway and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 28th May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Lancaster Way, Braintree and Bocking) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Lancaster Way, Braintree and Bocking in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Coldnailhurst Avenue for a distance of approximately 235m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th June 2026 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2402138 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repairs works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Coldnailhurst Avenue, Arnhem Grove, Bailey Bridge Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 28th May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Peg Millars Lane, Fairstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Peg Millars Lane, Fairstead in the District of Braintree, from a point 820m north east then south east of its junction with Fairstead Road for a distance of approximately 170m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th June 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGNN201P – Openreach Limited). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Terling Hall Road, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 430m north west then north east of its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 15m in a north easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th June 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGNN3M0N – Openreach Limited).
