(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close New Street between Oxford Road and Brighton Road. The Order will also introduce a prohibition of waiting at any time on the closed sections of New Street suspending the residents parking bays.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst gas mains replacement works are undertaken.
The Order came into effect on 22 June 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 22 June 2026 and will take until 31 July 2026 to complete. Works will be undertaken and sections of New Street will be closed in Phases. The proposed phases are: Phase 1 Oxford Road to Devonshire Road, Phase 2 Devonshire Road to Cambridge Road, Phase 3 Cambridge Road to Bedford Road, Phase 4 Bedford Road to Livingstone Road, Phase 5 Livingstone Road to Brighton Road.

(Horsham & Thakeham: Merryfield Drive & Linfield Copse)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, introduce a temporary prohibition of waiting at anytime and introduce a temporary 20MPH speed limit on Merryfield Drive, Horsham and Linfield Copse, Thakeham outside Nos. 69 and 70.
These road closures are needed to protect public safety whilst the 2026 highway retexturing programme is carried out. It is expected that the affected roads will be closed for up to 3 days. Temporary speed limits may be required may be required in preparation for the works, during the works and in-between phases of the works. The exact dates and duration of the works and the traffic management in each location will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time.
The Order will come into effect on 18 June 2026 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the works programme is completed, whichever is earlier.
During the works alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Henfield: Furners Lane)
(Temporary Daytime Closure) Order 2026 NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Furners Lane adjacent to properties ‘Badgers’ and ‘Summerfields’.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst new gas connections are made.
The Order will come into effect on 8 June 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 8 June 2026 and the road will be closed daily between 0800 and 1600hours for 9 days.

(North Horsham: Public Footpath Nos. 1586 & 3565)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close sections of:-
(i) Public Footpath No 1586, from its southern end at its junction with Barthlomew Way (519409, 133105), north-eastwards to its junction with Public Bridleway
No. 1585 (519986,133615), approximately 841M; and
(ii) Public Footpath No 3565, in its entirety from its western end (519754, 133084) to its eastern end ( 519779, 133095), approximately 27M.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to works on the footpaths.
Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.
The Order came into effect on 8 June 2026 and will last for 6 months. It is anticipated works will be completed by 11 September 2026.
