(Lindfield: Lewes Road) (Roads Maintenance Programme)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, temporarily prohibit waiting at any time and temporarily introduce a 20MPH speed limit on Lewes Road in Lindfield from High Street to Gravelye Lane.

These restrictions are needed to allow road maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take up to three days and dates for works will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time they are carried out.

The Order will come into effect on 18 June 2026 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed programme of works is completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. (Hurstpierpoint & Sayers Common)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Mill Lane in Hurstpierpoint & Sayers Common from Pookbourne Lane eastwards to Cuckfield Road. The road closure is needed to allow a new vehicular access to be constructed in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 8 June 2026 and remain in force until 3 July 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. (Haywards Heath: Oaklands Road)

 (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Oaklands Road in Haywards Heath, from its junction with Boltro Road, westwards for 25M.

The road closure is needed to allow new a new sewer to be connected in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 10 June 2026 and remain in force until 26 June 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
