Prohibition of Traffic through the gap in the central reservation in A308 Staines Road West, Sunbury on Thames at its junction with D6220 Green Lane
On 04 June 2026 Surrey County Council made “The Surrey County Council A308 Staines Road West, Sunbury on Thames (Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026”, under Section 1(1) and 2(1) to (3) and 4(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will come into force on 08 June 2026, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding in the gap in the central reservation which extends between the eastbound and northbound carriageway of A308 Staines Road West, Sunbury on Thames, situated south of its junction with D6220 Green Lane. A copy of this Notice together with a plan showing the length of road to which the Order relates and a Statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be viewed at:- 1) Sunbury Library, The Parade, Staines Road West, Sunbury-on-Thames TW16 7AB – from 9:30am to 5:30pm Tuesday to Saturday; 2) Spelthorne Borough Council Knowle Green, Staines TW18 1XB – from 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 12 noon Friday; 3) Reception, Surrey County Council, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ, from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday. If you wish to object to the Order, or any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks of from the date of the making of the Order, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
