What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council by virtue of the powers conferred by Article 8A of, and Schedule 3A, to the Road Traffic
Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 is minded to make an Order to temporarily restrict or prohibit all traffic from using the following roads in
accordance with details in the Schedule hereby to facilitate a Running Festival arranged by ChampionChip Ireland on behalf of McKinney Competitions.
Where necessary, local diversions will be in operation and signed as appropriate.

A copy of the application and route map may be inspected, by appointment, free of charge at Civic Headquarters, Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn, BT27
4RL.
All timings are approximate and may vary between 9:00 and 14:00 with roads being controlled and re-opened by Accredited Road Marshals as soon as
practical, after all runners have left that area.
Marshalls will be working to ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum, and drivers must always exercise caution. Road Signage will be made available.
Please note that some bus services running along the running festival route maybe affected
Persons wishing to make representation to the Council regarding the proposals, may make representation in writing to Environmental Health and
Emergency Planning Service Unit, Civic Headquarters, Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn, BT27 4RL by 3pm on Friday 26 June 2026. Representations made
after this date will not be considered.
