NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 7 OF SCHEDULE 14
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (BUNTINGFORD 35) DIVERSION ORDER 2026
On 21st May 2026, Hertfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath from TL 3563 3018 then N for approx 15m to TL 3563 3019 then WNW along the southern side of the watercourse for approx 85m to TL 3555 3022 to a line from TL 3563 3018 then WNW for approx 80m to TL 3556 3020 then NW and NNW for approx 20m to TL 3555 3022 as shown on the Order Plan.

The Order comes into force on the date on which Hertfordshire County Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the Order have been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which Notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to the Act.
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE STREET, FURNEUX PELHAM) ORDER NO.2 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Street, Furneux Pelham from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.2 ‘Brick Cottages’ westwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via The Street, The Causeway, Patient End, Braughing Road, Pelham Road, The Street, Ford Street, B1368 (Green End/Hay Street/Dassels/Dassels Hill/unnamed road), Worsted Lane and The Street. The Order is needed because water connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 22 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF C16 (UNNAMED ROAD), TONWELL/STONY HILLS, STAPLEFORD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C16 (unnamed road), Tonwell/Stony Hills, Stapleford from its junction with A602 Tonwell Bypass south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 1979m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A602 Tonwell Bypass, B158 Wadesmill Road, Sacombe Road and Stony Hills.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 22 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Street, Ware from its junction with A1170 High Street north eastwards to its junction with Crib Street, a distance of approximately 140m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A1170 High Street and Crib Street.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from B176 Turners Hill intoWindmill Lane, Waltham Cross (“the Roads”) when signs are in place. An alternative route will be via B176 (Turners Hill/High Street/Cheshunt Wash), the B176 Halfhide Lane roundabout, B176 (Cheshunt Wash/High Street/Turners Hill) and Windmill Lane.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Lane, Wormley from a point 142m north west of its junction with A1170 High Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Church Lane, A1170 (High Street/Great Cambridge Road), B156 (Halfhide Lane/Brookfield Lane West), Longfield Lane, Dig Dag Hill, Hammondstreet Road, Darnicle Hill, Newgate Street, Newgate Street Village, C54 (unnamed road), White Stubbs Lane and Church Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS FOOTPATHS IN BROXBOURNE AND WORMLEY) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath (“the Footpaths”):- 1. the footpath situated on the north west side of No.93 Winford Drive, Broxbourne from its junction with A1170 High Road north eastwards to its junction with Winford Drive, a distance of approximately 78m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of A1170 High Road, the footway situated on the north side of Cozens Lane East, the footway situated on the west side of Caldecot Way and the footway situated on the south side of Winford Drive.
2. the footpath situated on the south side of No.15 Bucklers Close and the north side of No.17 Caldecote Way, Wormley from its junction with Bucklers Close south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Caldecot Way, a distance of approximately 64m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Bucklers Close, the footway situated on the south side of Winford Drive and the footway situated on the west side of Caldecot Way.
3. the footpath fronting Nos.19-27 Caldecot Way, Wormley from its junction with Caldecot Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 29m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.
The Order will come into effect from 22 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 28 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the footpaths.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MENTLEY LANE EAST, STANDON) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mentley Lane East, Standon from a point in line with the western boundary of No.4 Mentley Lane East north eastwards for a distance of approximately 74m (“the Road”).
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Whempstead Road, Benington from a point 318m south east of its junction with High Elms Lane north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 115m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Whempstead Road, Town Lane, Church Green, Walkern Road, High Street, Ware Road, A602 Ware Road and Whempstead Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON COLTSFOOT LANE, DATCHWORTH) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Coltsfoot Lane, Datchworth from its junction with White Horse Lane north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Bramfield Road, a distance of approximately 1133m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via White Horse Lane, Burnham Green Road and Bramfield Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 10 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN WARE, CHESHUNT AND TURNFORD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-
1. that length of A119 Amwell End, Ware from its junction with A119 Hertford Road north eastwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 41m.
An alternative route will be via A119 London Road, A1170 Viaduct Road, Station Road and A119 Amwell End.
2. that length of B156 Goffs Lane, Cheshunt from a point 100m north east of its junction with the Rosedale Way/B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via B156 Goffs Lane, B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way, A10 Great Cambridge Road, College Road, Churchgate and B156 Goffs Lane.
3. the westbound carriageway of B176 High Road, Turnford from its junction with the Springs roundabout north westwards to its junction with the A1170 Great Cambridge Road/A1170 High Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 42m.
An alternative route will be via B176 High Road, B156 Halfhide Lane and A1170 Great Cambridge Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 8 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B181 Station Road, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with Amwell Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 45m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B181 Station Road, A414 Eastwick Road and B181 (Roydon Road/High Street/Station Road).

PEDESTRIAN CROSSING AND ROAD HUMP NOTICE
(GREAT CAMBRIDGE ROAD, HALFHIDE LANE AND GOSPEL LANE, CHESHUNT) 2026
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions, a prohibition of entry and a 40 mph speed limit in parts of Turnford & Cheshunt as specified in Schedules 1, 2 and 3 to this Notice. It is also proposed under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to construct 3 Toucan pedestrian crossing facilities on those lengths of Great Cambridge Road and Halfhide Lane, Cheshunt as specified in Schedule 4 to this Notice.
It is also proposed under sections 90A - 90F of the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, to install a raised table in that length of Gospel Hall, Cheshunt as specified in Schedule 5 to this Notice.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 4 June 2026 during office hours, at Main Reception, Farnham House, Stevenage, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Broxbourne and looking at Ref: B00226.

SCHEDULE 2: 40 mph speed limit – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan – Parts of Great Cambridge Road, Halfhide Lane and Gospel Hall.
SCHEDULE 3: Prohibition of Entry – that section of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan – Part of Gospel Hall.
SCHEDULE 4: Toucan pedestrian crossing facilities – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the scheme plan – Parts of Great Cambridge Road and Halfhide Lane.
Great Cambridge Road – centred on a point 15.5 metres south west of a point in line with the projected south west kerbline of Halfhide Lane Roundabout. Halfhide Lane:
(a) centred on a point 25 metres south east of a point in line with the projected south east kerbline of Halfhide Lane Roundabout.
(b) centred on a point 18 metres south east of a point in line with the projected south east kerbline of Gospel Hall.
SCHEDULE 5: Raised speed table – that section of road listed below and as set out in the scheme plan – Part of Gospel Hall.
Gospel Hall – from a point 1.5 metres south west of point in line with the south west kerbline of Halfhide Lane south westwards for 5 metres.
The above raised speed table will be constructed at a height of approximately 75mm above the existing carriageway with on/off gradients of approximately 1:10.
