PROHIBITION OF WAITING ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The Order will have the effect of prohibiting any vehicle waiting along various lengths of road in Cowpen Lane industrial estate at any time.
Full details of the proposals are contained in the draft Order which, together with a map showing the affected lengths of road and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined at the Stockton Customer Service Centre, Central Library, The Square, Stockton-on-Tees during normal opening hours and on the Council's website (Traffic Orders).
If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send the grounds for your objection in writing to Network and Traffic Team Leader, Stockton-on- Tees Borough Council, Dunedin House, Columbia Drive, Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees, TS17 6BJ or HTD@Stockton.gov.uk by 29th June 2026.
