Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through

Traffic Order 2026 – Broadhurst Road, Wittering Ref: 27-088

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Broadhurst Road, Wittering, outside number 11. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Parker Road, Carnegie Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 08/06/2026 and will continue until the communication pipe repair works have been completed or until the 07/06/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 08/06/2026 and the 10/06/2026. Traffic Order 2026 – The Mead Ref: 27-072

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as The Mead, outside number 140. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. There is no alternative route for vehicles affected by this order, access will be maintained. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/06/2026 and will continue until the fire hydrant repair works have been completed or until the 09/06/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight only between 1900 on 10/06/2026 and 0600 on 11/06/2026. Traffic Order 2026 – Glinton Road, Helpston           Ref: 27-073

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Glinton Road, Helpston as lies between points 20 metres either side of Helpston Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via Glinton Rd, Maxey Rd (Helpston), Maxey Road (Maxey), High Street, Maxey Road (Northborough), A15, Helpston Road (Glinton), Helpston Road (Etton) and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 06/06/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 05/06/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

Traffic Order 2026 – King Street, Lolham, Maxey    Ref: 27-093

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as King Street, Lolham, Maxey, as lies between Lolham Mill access road and a point 50m south. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: High Street Maxey, Maxey Road Northborough, A15, Stamford Road, King Street and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 17/06/2026 and will continue until the fire hydrant chamber works have been completed or until the 16/06/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

Traffic Order 2026 – Oundle Road Ref: 27-098

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Oundle Road, as lies between The Squires and Grove Street. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Oundle Road, Nene Parkway, Longthorpe Parkway, Thorpe Road, Bourges Boulevard, Rivergate, Town Bridge, London Road, Oundle Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 12/06/2026 and will continue until the GripFibre remedial works have been completed or until the 11/06/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.
