SECTION 14(1) (AS AMENDED)
The North York Moors National Park Authority has made an Order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the parish of Egton in the county of North Yorkshire:
SECTION CLOSED TO ALL USERS Public Bridleway 98 Egton (part of): (A-B)
No pedestrian, horse-rider or cyclist shall proceed along part of this bridleway, commencing at Grid Reference NZ 8208 0207 (Point A) and proceeding in a generally north-westerly, then south-easterly direction for 260 metres to Grid Reference NZ 8203 0196 (Point B).
SECTION OPEN TO WALKERS BUT CLOSED TO HORSE-RIDERS & CYCLISTS
Public Bridleway 98 Egton (part of): (B-C)
No horse-rider or cyclist shall proceed along part of this bridleway, commencing at Grid Reference NZ 8203 0196 (Point B) and proceeding in a generally south-easterly, south-westerly and then westerly direction for 970 metres to Grid Reference NZ 8136 0175 (Point C ).
There is no alternative route for horse-riders & cyclists whilst this closure is in place.
The Order is necessary to allow for the board-walk to be replaced.
The closure takes effect from 28th May 2026 and will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs. All enquiries to Beth Ghest (Area Ranger – East) on (01439) 772700.
