(HIGH PAVEMENT AND KIRKBY ROAD, SUTTON IN ASHFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING AND WAITING, LOADING ANDUNLOADING) ORDER 2026 (A26-093)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Sutton in Ashfield in the District of Ashfield
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
Kirkby Road, Sutton in Ashfield - From its junction with Tudor Street to its junction with High Pavement
High Pavement, Sutton in Ashfield - From its junction with Kirkby Road to its junction with Prospect Place
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
Kirkby Road, Sutton in Ashfield - From its junction with Tudor Street to its junction with High Pavement
High Pavement, Sutton in Ashfield - From its junction with Kirkby Road to its junction with Prospect Place
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 20:00, Monday 22nd June 2026
Until 06:00, Saturday 4th July 2026 nightly.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Spring Road - Brook Street - Langton Road and vice versa
Kirkby Road - Kings Mill Road East - Station Road - High Pavement and vice versa
The Order will come into force on Monday 22nd June 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out carriageway resurfacing works;
