GORCHYMYN CEFNFFORDD YR A40 (HWLFFORDD I ABERGAWAUN, SIR BENFRO) (CYFYNGIADAU CYFLYMDER DROS DRO A DIM GODDIWEDDYD) 202-

MAE Gweinidogion Cymru yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 mewn dim llai na 7 niwrnod i ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn. Mae angen y Gorchymyn er mwyn gwneud gwaith ar gefnffordd yr A40, neu gerllaw iddi, rhwng Hwlffordd ac Abergwaun, Sir Benfro.

Effaith y Gorchymyn arfaethedig fydd gwneud y canlynol dros dro:

i. gosod terfyn cyflymder o naill ai 40 mya neu 10 mya a gwahardd goddiweddyd ar y darnau o gefnffordd yr A40 a ddisgrifir yn Atodlen 1 i’r Hysbysiad hwn; a

ii. gosod terfyn cyflymder o 10 mya a gwahardd goddiweddyd ar y darnau o gefnffordd yr A40 a ddisgrifir yn Atodlen 2.

Disgwylir mai dim ond yn ystod gwaith confoi y bydd y terfyn cyflymder o 10 mya yn gymwys ac ni chaniateir goddiweddyd ar yr adegau hyn.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 19 Mehefin 2026. Disgwylir y bydd y cyfyngiadau a’r gwaharddiad dros dro yn weithredol yn ysbeidiol o 00:01 o’r gloch ar y dyddiad hwnnw am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf.

Terfyn cyflymder 40 mya neu 10 mya dros dro a dim goddiweddyd

Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 103 o fetrau i’r gogledd o’i chyffordd â Chylchfan Ffordd Llwynhelyg, Hwlffordd hyd at bwynt 106 o fetrau i’r de o’i chyffordd â’r C3161 Hayscastle Road, Cas-blaidd.

Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 996 o fetrau i’r gogledd o’i chyffordd â’r C3161 Hayscastle Road, Cas-blaidd hyd at bwynt 233 o fetrau i’r de-ddwyrain o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r B4331 St David’s Road, Treletert.

Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 618 o fetrau i’r gogledd-orllewin o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r B4331 St David’s Road, Treletert hyd at bwynt 40 metr i’r de o ganolbwynt Cylchfan Rafael, Abergwaun.

Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 37 o fetrau i’r gogledd-ddwyrain o’i chyffordd â Chylchfan Rafael, Abergwaun hyd at bwynt 521 o fetrau i’r gogledd-ddwyrain o’i chyffordd â’r gylchfan honno.

Terfyn cyflymder 10 mya dros dro a dim goddiweddyd

Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o’i chyffordd â Chylchfan Ffordd Llwynhelyg, Hwlffordd hyd at bwynt 103 o fetrau i’r gogledd o’i chyffordd â’r gylchfan honno, gan gynnwys ei cherbytffordd gylchredol.

Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 106 o fetrau i’r de o’i chyffordd â’r C3161 Hayscastle Road, Cas-blaidd hyd at bwynt 36 o fetrau i’r gogledd o’r gyffordd ym Mryn y Gomer

Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 233 o fetrau i’r de-ddwyrain o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r B4331 St David’s Road, Trefelter hyd at bwynt 217 o fetrau i’r gogledd-orllewin o’r gyffordd honno.

Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 40 metr i’r de o ganolbwynt Cylchfan Rafael, Abergwaun hyd at ei chyffordd â Chylchfan Parrog, gan gynnwys ei cherbytffordd gylchredol Cylchfannau Rafael, Windyhill a’r Parrog, Abergwaun.

THE A40 TRUNK ROAD (HAVERFORDWEST TO FISHGUARD, PEMBROKESHIRE) (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTIONS & NO OVERTAKING) ORDER 202-

THE WELSH MINISTERS propose, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to undertake works on or near the A40 trunk road between Haverfordwest and Fishguard, Pembrokeshire.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to temporarily:

i. impose either a 40 mph or 10 mph speed limit and prohibit overtaking on the lengths of the A40 trunk road described in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and

ii. impose a 10 mph speed limit and prohibit overtaking on the lengths of the A40 trunk road described in Schedule 2.

The 10 mph speed limit is only expected to apply during convoy working and no overtaking will be permitted at these times.

The Order will come into force on 19 June 2026. The temporary restrictions and prohibition are expected to operate intermittently from 00:01 hours on that date for a maximum duration of 18 months.

SCHEDULE 1

Temporary 40 mph or 10 mph speed limit and no overtaking

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 103 metres north of its junction with Withybush Road Roundabout, Haverfordwest to a point 106 metres south of its junction with the C3161 Hayscastle Road, Wolfscastle.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 996 metres north of its junction with the C3161 Hayscastle Road, Wolfscastle to a point 233 metres south-east of the centre of its junction with the B4331 St David’s Road, Letterston.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 618 metres north-west of the centre of its junction with the B4331 St David’s Road, Letterston to a point 40 metres south of the centre-point of Rafael Roundabout, Fishguard.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 37 metres north-east of its junction with Rafael Roundabout, Fishguard to a point 521 metres north-east of its junction with that roundabout.

SCHEDULE 2

Temporary 10 mph speed limit and no overtaking

The length of the trunk road that extends from its junction with Withybush Road Roundabout, Haverfordwest to a point 103 metres north of its junction with that roundabout, including its circulatory carriageway.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 106 metres south of its junction with the C3161 Hayscastle Road, Wolfscastle to a point 36 metres north of the junction at Bryn Gorwel.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 233 metres south-east of the centre of its junction with the B4331 St David’s Road, Letterston to a point 217 metres north-west of that junction.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 40 metres south of the centre-point of Rafael Roundabout to its junction with The Parrog Roundabout, including the circulatory carriageways of Rafael, Windyhall and The Parrog Roundabouts, Fishguard.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 521 metres north-east of its junction with Rafael Roundabout, Fishguard to a point 996 metres north-east of its junction with that roundabout.
