What is happening?
TRAFFIC ORDER
On 01/06/2026 the Council made The Angus Council (Angus Show, Brechin) (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2026, under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, for the purposes of minimising danger to the public attending or participating in the relevant event between 12pm (noon) on Friday, 05 June 2026, and 12pm (noon) on Sunday, 07 June 2026. The effect of this Order is to:- (1) Prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic from waiting on both sides, and (2) Restrict temporarily vehicles from being driven at a speed in excess of 30mph; on the following roads in Brechin:- (a) Brechin to Montrose (A935) from its junction with the private access leading to Maulesden, eastwards for a distance of 1.6km or thereby; and (b) Forfar to Aberlemno to Brechin (B9134) from its junction with the Brechin to Montrose (A935) road, south-westwards for a distance of 975 metres or thereby. Access for pedestrians and vehicles will be maintained. There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.
