What is happening?
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HARINGEY
Harold Road & Church Lane N8 – s278 Works - The Haringey (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No.16) Order 2026 - The Haringey (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No.12) Order 2026 T01
Notice is hereby given that The Council of The London Borough Of Haringey on 29th May 2026 has made the above mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the Orders would be: -
1. To install approximately 28.2 metres of permit holders only parking operating CPZ hours opposite No.1h to No.1e Harold Road N8 (single yellow line outside gate access to be removed and adjacent permit bays to be merged).
2. To install 2 x 5.5 metre car club parking bays opposite No.1c to No.1e Harold Road N8. Replaces existing pay by phone parking.
3. To install 2 x 6.6 metre disabled parking bays opposite No.1a to No.1b Harold Road N8 (adjacent to existing disabled bay). Replaces existing pay by phone and doctor permit holders parking.
4. To replace the existing no stopping except police vehicles bay on the west side of Church Lane N8 opposite No.39/41 by extending the adjacent permit holders only parking bay.
5. To shorten the permit holders only bay outside No.2 Harold Road N8 by approximately 4 metres and extend the permit holder bay opposite No.1h Harold Road N8 by approximately 1 metre (map-based changes to ensure the Council’s internal records match the restrictions on the ground which will result in no physical changes on site).
Date of operation: The Orders will come into operation on 12th June 2026.
Further details: An appointment can be made, by emailing: traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk, to inspect the Orders during normal office hours at: The Reception Desk Of Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made or can be viewed online at: https://streets.appyway.com/haringey, once operational.
Application to the high court: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it does not comply with the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
