(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 165) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to install new water supply connection to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Broomhall Avenue, Wakefield outside number 19. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Broomhall Avenue.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Via Bradford Road.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 8th June 2026 to 12th June 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds essential upgrade to infrastructure, Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hawthorne Terrace, Wakefield from the junction of Conway Road to number 25. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hawthorne Terrace.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to clear vegetation and complete bridge inspection to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Pope Street, Normanton at the railway bridge. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Pope Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Express Way, California Drive, A655, Castleford Road, High Street, Edward Street, Altofts Road, Station Road, Lee Brig, High Green Road & vice versa.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Kirkgate, Wakefield one way closure from Sun Lane to The Springs, inbound lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Kirkgate.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Kirkgate, Marsh Way, Jacobs Well Lane, Marsh Way, Northgate, Westmoreland Street, The Springs.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Castle Avenue, Wakefield from the junction with New Lyn Drive to Duke of York roundabout. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Castle Avenue.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Via Duke of York Avenue & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to install new water main to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hessle Lane, Hessle full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hessle Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Hessle Lane, Hessle Common Lane,
Doncaster Road, Went Lane & vice versa. Access to properties will be maintained at all times using the diversion.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 22nd June 2026 to 17th July 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Carr Lane, Middlestown outside numbers 18 to 20. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Carr Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion, no through road.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 23rd June 2026 between 08.00 hours to 16.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 24th June 2026 to 25th June 2026 between 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 192) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for footway and carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Sherwood Grove, Lupset from the junction with Townley Road to number 11. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Sherwood Grove.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion, no through road. Access for residents and emergency vehicles will be maintained.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 22nd June 2026 to 24th June 2026 between 07.30 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
