NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Recreation Avenue for a short period of time between Friday 12th June and Friday 26th June 2026.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac. Access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Carriageway resurfacing).

VARIOUS ROADS WATH UPON DEARNE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the five parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice for periods of time between Monday 8th June and Wednesday 9th September 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via local neighbouring streets with the exception of cul de sacs.

Residents of properties affected by the Order will receive confirmation of an exact start date before works begin.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Gas renewal works). Schedule

(i)    Tennyson Rise from its junction with Barnsley Road for a distance of 30m in a south westerly direction.

(ii)   Grove Road between its junction with Barnsley Road and its junction with Edward Road.

PART OF LITTLE HAYNOOKING LANE MALTBY ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Little Haynooking Lane from its junction with Lilly Hall Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a northerly direction from Tuesday 16th June until Friday 19th June 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Lilly Hall Road, Braithwell Road, Chadwick Drive, Little Haynooking Lane and vice versa. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (electrical works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to:-

1.     Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of White Lee Road from a point approximately 130m north of its junction with Bridge Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction on Monday 15th June 2026

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via A6022 Bridge Street, Rowms Lane, Marriot Road, White Lee Road and vice versa.

2.     Temporarily suspend the One Way Order relating to White Lee Road and to allow two way traffic for residents to access and engress the road on Monday 15 June 2026.

The reason for the prohibition and suspension is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Telecom works).

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Rotherham Lane, Rose Lane and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Rail bridge works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Frederick Street, the entrance to the bus station from 5pm on Sunday  7th June until 4am on Monday 8th June 2026.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (repairs to sluice valve).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends  (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath No.5 Thorpe Hesley specified in item (i) of the Schedule to this notice and to prohibit any pedestrian and horse rider from proceeding along that part of Public Bridleway No.6 Thorpe Hesley specified in item (ii) of the Schedule to this notice from Monday 15th June 2026 for a period of 6 months.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians and horse riders affected by the Order will be via signed diversions.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath and bridleway  (Coal Authority works to construct a new water treatment scheme).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along Public Footpath No.5 Aston Public commencing from a point at its junction with Chesterfield Road at Grid Reference SK4492 8462 and proceeding in an easterly direction for a distance of 200m to Grid reference SK 4503 8455 from Saturday 6th June 2026 for a period of  six months.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for pedestrians. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Excavation works).

REPLACEMENT OF LOST TRAFFIC ORDER)

(REVOCATION AND RE-ENACTMENT) ORDER 2026

1.    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Rotherham Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Authority”), acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the Borough of Rotherham has on this day,  21st May 2026, made the above-named Order under the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, and in accordance with Regulation 26 of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1989.

2.    The sole effect of this Replacement Order is to revoke and re-enact “The Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2011 (Amendment No.32) Order 2013” (the “Previous Order”). Due to exceptional circumstances, the Previous Order was lost following its sealing, rendering it administrative or legally unenforceable. Apart from a revised commencement date and the formal revocation of the Previous Order, this Replacement Order has the exact same physical and legal effect as the original restrictions proposed. No new restrictions or changes to the highway network are introduced by this instrument.

3.    The effect of the Previous Order is described in the Schedule to this Replacement Order.

4.    The provisions within this Order relating to the revocation of the Previous Order shall come into force immediately on the date this Order is made. All other re-enacted traffic restrictions shall come into force on 8th. June 2026.

5.    Copies of the proposed Order a map showing the length and side of the roads affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the Council’s Offices at the address shown below.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the four parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. The part of B6410 Worrygoose Lane will be closed for periods of time between Monday 15th June and Friday 2nd October 2026. The part of Moorhouse Lane will be closed for periods of time between Monday 6th July and Friday 30th

October 2026. The part of B6410 Little Common Lane will be closed for periods of time between Friday 7th August 2026 and Friday 5th of March 2027. The part of B6410 Royds Moor Lane will be closed for periods of time between Friday 7th August 2026 and Friday the 5th of March 2027. The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Flood alleviation works).

SCHEDULE

(i)    B6410 Worrygoose Lane from its junction with Greystones Road for a distance of approximately 170m in a north westerly direction (the alternative route will be via B6410 Worrygoose Lane, A631 Worrygoose Island Roundabout, A631 East Bawtry Road, A631 Bawtry Road, A631 Wickersley Roundabout, B6060 Morthen Road and vice versa).

(ii)   Moorhouse Lane from a point approximately 160m east of its junction with Cow Rakes Lane for a distance of approximately 150m in an easterly direction (the alternative route will be via Moorhouse Lane, Cow Rakes Lane, B6410 Worrygoose Lane and vice versa).

(iii)   B6410 Little Common Lane from its junction with B6410 Royds Moor Hill for a distance of approximately 70m in a westerly direction (the alternative route will be via B6410 Royds Moor Hill, B6410 Morthen Lane, B6060 Morthen Road, A631 Wickersley Roundabout, A631 Bawtry Road, A631 East Bawtry Road, A631 Worrygoose Island Roundabout, B6410 Worrygoose Lane, B6410 Little Common Lane and vice versa).

(iv)   B6410 Royds Moor Hill from its junction with B6410 Little Common Lane, for a distance of approximately 70m in an easterly direction (the alternative will be the same as in item (iii) above).
