(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIAN MOVEMENT) ORDER 2026

On 1 June 2026 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to proceed on foot (with the exception of persons engaged on footpath resurfacing) on the undernoted locations:-

Larch Court, Cumbernauld from the Rowan Road Footbridge to a point 320 m or thereby

Alternative routes: via Larch Court, Oak Road and Abronhill Community Park and Lime Crescent

Larch Court, Cumbernauld from 22 Larch Court to the bus stop opposite Rowan Road

Alternative routes: via Larch Court, Oak Road and Abronhill Community Park Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.

Vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure. The Order, which will be completed in phases when signposted, will come into operation at 0800 hours on Tuesday, 9 June 2026 and will remain in operation until 1800 hours on Tuesday, 23 June 2026.
