(A81 STRATHBLANE ROAD,
MILNGAVIE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

On 04 June 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works, and those vehicles requiring access to properties or land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on that section of the A81 Strathblane Road, Milngavie between its junction with Marchfield, Milngavie and its junction with the access road to Bankell Cottage, Milngavie by reason of works being executed on or near this road.

This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Sunday, 14 June 2026 until 23.59 hours on Sunday, 21 June 2026.

Alternative Routes

The alternative routes will be by way of the A81, the A807 though Milngavie and Balmore, the B822 through Torrance, and the A891 through Lennoxtown, and these routes will be sign posted. The B8030 and the B8050 through Milngavie, the A809, and the B834 near Croftamie, will also be sign posted.
