(Temporary Closing Of Bell Lane, Brookmans Park And Bulls Lane, Hatfield) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Bell Lane, Brookmans Park from its southernmost junction with A1000 Great North Road south eastwards, south westwards, north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 829m.
An alternative route will be via: A1000 Great North Road.
2. that length of Bulls Lane, Hatfield from its junction with Bell Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 100m.
An alternative route will be via: Bell Lane, A1000 Great North Road, Hawkshead Lane, Bluebridge Road, Bradmore Green, Station Road and Bulls Lane.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 22 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 weeks to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of Hertford Road, Digswell) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hertford Road, Digswell from a point 12m north west of its junction with Douglas Close south eastwards for a distance of approximately 117m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: Hertford Road, Station Road, Harmer Green Lane and Hertford Road.
The Order is needed because duct cleaning works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 8 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Howlands, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Golden Dell north eastwards for a distance of approximately 39m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Howlands, A1000 Chequers, Ascots Lane and Howlands.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 8 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Holt, Kimpton from its junction with Fox Hill north eastwards for a distance of approximately 108m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: Fox Hill, Claggy Road, B652 High Street, B651 Hitchin Road and The Holt.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 8 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On Various Roads In Digswell, Tewin, Welwyn Garden City, Woolmer Green And Oaklands) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Hertford Road, Digswell/Tewin from its junction with the A1000 Bessemer Road/A1000 Hertford Road roundabout south eastwards to its junction with B1000 Waterside, a distance of approximately 2007m.
An alternative route will be via: A1000 (Bessemer Road/Mundells) and B1000 Waterside.
2. that length of Digswell Lane, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with A1000 Bessemer Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 117m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. that length of Harmer Green Lane, Digswell from its junction with Hertford Road north eastwards, north westwards, north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Harmer Dell, a distance of approximately 904m.
An alternative route will be via: Hertford Road, B1000 Hertford Road, Churchfield Road, School Lane, Lower Road, Upper Green Road, Upper Green, Orchard Road and Harmer Green Lane.
4. that length of New Road, Woolmer Green from its junction with B197 London Road north eastwards to its junction with Hollybush Lane, a distance of approximately 779m.
An alternative route will be via: B197 London Road, Swangleys Lane, Baines Lane and Hollybush Lane.
5. that length of Turpins Ride, Oaklands from its junction with B197 Great North Road south eastwards to its junction with Jenning Wood, a distance of approximately 181m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 8 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
