(CROWMARSH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that on 1 June 2026 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 5 June introduces a 30mph speed limit on Benson Lane in Crowmarsh Gifford – between its junction with the A4074 and the previous village 20mph speed limit to the south, replacing the existing 60mph National speed limit in the process.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Crowmarsh) (Speed Limits) Order 2023 is revoked/replaced.

(VARIOUS ROADS – VALE OF WHITE HORSE DISTRICT) (MAP BASED) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all enabling powers. The effect of the Order – in response to concerns raised by residents – is to replace approx. 48 metres (7-8 vehicle lengths) of the existing shared-use (‘Mon-Sat 8am-6pm Permit holders or Limited Waiting 2 hours, no return within 1 hour’) parking bay on the east side of the B4017 Bath Street in Abingdon, with new ‘Permit Holders Only’ parking provision, operating Mon-Sat 8am-6pm – outside of these hours parking will be unrestricted.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads – the Vale of White Horse District) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2026 will be further amended, updating Map Tile: ‘FW62’ in the process.

Garsington, Oxford Road
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 22 June 2026
Coming into force: 29 June 2026
This Order is being introduced because of excavations for sewer maintenance work which is anticipated to be completed 10 July 2026. This is a 24 hour road closure.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Oxford Road outside No. 7. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via Oxford Road, Pettiwell, Watlington Road and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

This Order is being introduced because of excavations for cabling works as part of electricity network upgrade, and which are to be completed 5 July 2026. This is a 24 hour daily speed limit reduction.
