THE M54 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 5 AND JUNCTION 6,
SHROPSHIRE) (SLIP ROADS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an Order on the M54 Motorway, in the County of Shropshire, to enable resurfacing and loop installation work to be carried out. The effect of the Order will be to close –
(a) the slip road leading to the westbound carriageway of the M54 at Junction 5; and
(b) the slip road leading from the westbound carriageway of the M54 at Junction 6.
The work is to be carried out in two phases, over two full weekend closures, and is expected to be carried out from 21:00 hours on Friday 26 June 2026 until 06:00 hours on Monday 29 June 2026 and from 21:00 hours on Friday 3 July 2026 until 06:00 hours on Monday 6 July 2026. The order will come into force on Friday 19 June 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance or traffic officer purposes or vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures. Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the M54 will be signed.
