What is happening?

NOTICE is hereby given that Pembrokeshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate abnormal load movements in conjunction with the installation of the pedestrian bridge at Tenby Train Station.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic other than exempted vehicles from proceeding along those sections of road identified in the schedule to this notice. It is intended that the restrictions, which will be signed accordingly, will come into effect on Tuesday 30th June 2026 for 1 night between 21:00hrs-05:00hrs and Saturday 4th July 2026 for 6 nights between 21:00hrs-05:00hrs. The alternative route for traffic will be determined and signed accordingly depending on direction of travel.
The temporary road closure will be manned by Traffic Management Operatives on site throughout the duration of the works. The One Way Order affecting Harding Street will be temporarily suspended to enable limited two way traffic to properties where practicable.
The Order will remain valid for a maximum period of 18 months as a contingency should the works need to be rescheduled or in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
