East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Castle Green, Cottingham (whole extent).

The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed telecom pole installation works to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.

It is anticipated that the works will be completed within the given dates. There is no alternative route for traffic affected by this closure. (It is not possible to maintain access due to the nature of the works).

The Order will commence 15,16 and 20 June 2026 (between 20.00 hours and 05.00 hours) and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
