SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC WALKINGTON ROAD, LITTLE WEIGHTON (PART)

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Walkington Road, Little Weighton (between numbers 18 and 20) commencing Tuesday 23 June 2026 (between 09.30 hours and 15.30 hours) to jet through multiple chambers to clear a sewer network causing a pollution risk to properties.

The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within the given time. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via the remainder of Walkington Road, Old Village Road, White Gap Road, Common Road and Bluestone Bottoms, Walkington. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. Access will be maintained for residents, pedestrians and emergency services only.
