SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC GODMANS LANE, KIRK ELLA (PART)
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Godmans Lane, Kirk Ella (outside house named Hightrees) commencing Monday 22 June 2026 (between 08.00 hours and 17.00 hours) to open up a pipe for sumping and removal of rods.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 26 June 2026. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via the remainder of Godmans Lane, West Ella Road, School Lane and Packman Lane, Kirk Ella.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. Access will be maintained for residents, pedestrians and emergency services only. Further information can be obtained by contacting the council and asking for Highways Customer Care, telephone (01482) 393939. Ref: JS.
