NEWMACHAR - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (Rowan Avenue, Newmachar – 08.06.26) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2026” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984. The order will operate from 08.06.26 for 3 weeks and will prohibit any person from driving on Rowan Avenue, Newmachar from the junction with Sycamore Gardens to No. 22 Rowan Avenue.
Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety during works to install services, street lighting and site access sections for a new development. An alternative route is available via Sycamore Gardens, Gean Place, Larch Grove and vice versa. Details of the restriction can be viewed online at https://online.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/apps/roadworks/.
