What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC MILL ROAD, SWANLAND (PART)

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Mill Road, Swanland (outside number 4) commencing Tuesday 23 June 2026 to allow for a new electrical connection to take place. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.

The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Tuesday 30 June 2026.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via West Leys Road, Swanland Hill, High Street, Woodgates Lane and the remainder of Mill Road.

The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. Access will be maintained for residents, pedestrians and emergency services only. Further information can be obtained by contacting the council and asking for Highways Customer Care, telephone (01482) 393939. Ref: JS.
