(BEACONS VIEW, CIMLA) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable Bluefield Land Limited operatives to carry out drainage works and for the Highways Authority to carry out any ancillary highway works in the road.
The Order will come into force on the 29th June 2026 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner, but it is anticipated the works will take 3 months to complete.
SCHEDULE
Beacons View will be closed from outside number 45 Beacons View in a northerly direction for 125 along its length.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via Bwlch Road and Cae Rhys Ddu Road.
Access for emergency services and pedestrian access will be maintained.
