What is happening?

PETERBOROUGH CITY COUNCIL

CITY CENTRE PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE ZONE ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that The Council of the City of Peterborough has made the above Order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, ‘the Act of 1984’, as amended, and all other enabling powers following consultation with the Chief Officer of the Police.

The effect of this Order is to make Long Causeway, Cathedral Square, Church Street, Bridge Street, Exchange Street, Cumbergate and Queen Street a Pedestrian and Cycle Zone

This Order came into effect on the 1st June 2026 and may be cited as The Council of the City of Peterborough City Centre Pedestrian and Cycle Zone Order 2026
