LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(NEW QUAY ROAD, LANCASTER, LANCASTER CITY) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 21st May 2026 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of waiting in New Quay Road, Lancaster, both sides, from a point 14 metres south west of its junction with the centreline of the exit of Thetis Road , including the entire traffic island located at the bus turning circle for a distance of 96 metres in a south westerly direction.
This Order will come into force on the 8th June 2026. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Lancaster City Council, Town Hall, Dalton Square, Lancaster, LA1 1PJ, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
quoting ref: LSG4/ 894_19589/AFR. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
