Southsea Terrace - Temporary Road Closure

Portsmouth City Council (Southsea Terrace) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.105) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 18th June 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
SOUTHSEA TERRACE
From its junction with Pier Road to its junction with Castle Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate new kerb and resurfacing works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 18th June 2026 to 26th June 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 17:00.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Western Parade, Clarence Parade, Duisburg Way, Duisburg Way Roundabout, Pier Road and Pier Road, Duisburg Way Roundabout, Duisburg Way, Western Parade.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
