What is happening?

Borough of Telford & Wrekin

The Council proposes to make the Borough of Telford & Wrekin, Longford Road, Newport (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, whilst cable reinforcement works are being undertaken. The order becomes operational from the 15/6/26. The following road is affected: Longford Road, Newport from its jcn with Boughey Rd for approx. 600m in a south westerly direction. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the works are expected to be completed by the 10/7/26.
Alternative routes will be signed on site.
